For the Highlands, the far north and the islands a non-runner is collected on a booked uplift round rather than the same day, because the vehicle has to be brought to you on a planned trip. We agree a realistic date in writing before anyone sets off.

Paperwork sorted and paid by bank transfer

When a non-runner is sold for scrap it goes to a licensed treatment facility and the DVLA is told it has left your keeping. We handle that at uplift, so a car that has not moved in years finally stops being your liability.

You are paid by instant bank transfer on collection, with a record to keep. We do not pay cash, because cash for scrap vehicles is illegal in Scotland under the Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015 — only electronic transfer or a crossed cheque is allowed.
